The Our Lady of Guadalupe Roses Rosary has metal roses as Our Father beads. The symbol of roses is significant.
In December 1531, Juan Diego had four apparitions of Our Lady. At the last one, she gave him roses to bring to the bishop. Our Lady of Guadalupe left a miraculous image on his tilma where he had carried the roses. It is on display at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico, the most visited Catholic shrine in the world today. Pope Leo XIII granted the image a papal coronation on October 12, 1895. The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe is on December 12.
