More Details
On the Blessed Cord of Saint Joseph, we pray for his protection. Then, we can reflect on one of his sorrows or joys on each of the knots.
Devotion to the Cord of St. Joseph originated in Antwerp, Belgium, in 1657. A sister of the Order of St. Augustine fell dangerously ill and near death. She petitioned St. Joseph to cure her. She wore a cord knotted seven times in honour of the seven sorrows and joys of St. Joseph. While she was praying, she regained good health. Pope Pius IX richly blessed this devotion with indulgences. He recommended its daily use.
We make this chaplet either as a handheld strand (shown) or a belt. The belt version is thinner and is available for order at $9.99. Please specify the length needed.
About Our Handmade Chaplets
Packaging
Each chaplet comes with a sturdy prayer card. It explains which prayers to say on which beads.
Suggestion
It is a good idea to store your chaplets and prayer cards together. Since chaplets have unique bead groupings and prayers, the prayer card and chaplet need to stay together so that you can continue to use them.

A beautifully photographed sky by Donald Tong inspired the website’s colour scheme. Cropped portions of it are the background for the footer Bible verse. He shared it as a free download on pexels.com.
Raphael painted The Sistine Madonna circa (1513-1514). We made circular cut-outs from the original image.
