The Roses for Our Lady Pocket-Sized Rosary is a handy size for prayers on busy days. The gemstone beads are colour-enhanced to a pink shade. Wire-wrapped tiny metal roses separate the group of beads. It is fully wire-wrapped for lasting durability.
Crown of Roses
Saint Louis de Montfort wrote that the word Rosary means a Crown of Roses. When we pray it devoutly, we are placing a crown of heavenly roses on the heads of Jesus and Mary that will never fade or lose their beauty. Our Lady has revealed to several people that each time they pray a Hail Mary, they give her a beautiful rose, and each complete Rosary makes a crown of roses. We love the symbolism of this rosary.
Care & Handling Tip
- Wire-Wrapped Stability: Wire-wrapped rosaries will not come unhooked. The design may sometimes cause a temporary kink. You can resolve it in two ways: gently shake it or lift and turn the section by hand.
- Bead Care: To keep the colour looking its best, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight (such as leaving it on a hot car dash) and harsh chemical cleaners. For cleaning, surface cleaning with a microfiber cloth is best.
How to Choose Good Quality Loops & Connections
Loops
A rosary bends in different directions during prayer. The links will turn without a problem when they are smooth and round. Angled or long, narrow banana-shaped loops will cause the rosary to kink. Good quality rosaries also have uniform loop sizes on both sides of the beads.
Integrity
Unhooked links around the beads are a common structural problem for rosaries. The weight of the beads adds stress to its links. Properly- secured loops need to be tight at every connection. Yet, they will only stay in place if the wire is stiff and strong enough to hold its shape. Loose bead rings are decorative and will not secure the rosary.
CONNECTORS
We secure the Crucifixes and centers on our rosaries with one of three methods.
1. Jump Rings
Our sturdy nickel-plated brass jump rings are heavy-duty and will not let the chain slip through.
2. Wrapped Bows
Wrapped bows have a stem of stacked wire with open loops on each end. Even heavy beads will stay in place with these.
3. Wrapped Bow-Ties
We also use bow-tie connections. They are similar to our wrapped bows only with a small bead at the center.
