The Way of the Cross for Holy Souls
STATION 7: Jesus Falls for the Second Time
We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You (or: We adore You, O Christ, and we bless You.)
BECAUSE BY YOUR HOLY CROSS, YOU HAVE REDEEMED THE WORLD.
Prayer
My sins have made Your cross heavy, O Jesus. I detest them and firmly propose to amend my life. Never permit me to separate myself from You again.
Prayer
Have mercy, O Jesus, on those souls who now suffer the pains of Purgatory for mortal sins committed in this life. O clement Heart of Jesus, have compassion upon them.
MY JESUS, MERCY!
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.*
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen
*Or: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Eternal Rest grant unto them, O Lord.
*AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.
Merciful Jesus, grant them eternal rest.
AMEN.

The LOGO image of Our Lady of Grace is original artwork by Martin Lariviere in 2009. We have the artist’s permission (my son). It is our exclusive trademark logo image.
A beautifully photographed sky by Donald Tong inspired the website’s colour scheme. Cropped portions of it are the background for the footer Bible quote. He shared it as a free download on pexels.com.
Raphael painted The Sistine Madonna circa (1513-1514). We made circular cut-outs from the original image.
We chose a Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo painting of one of the falls of Jesus. It is oil on canvas and located in the Church of San Polo in Venice. He painted it circa 1745 to 1749.
Lo Spasimo di Sicilia is by the artist Raffaello Saanzio da Urbino (also known as Raphael). He painted it in 1517.
Ludovico Carracci painted An Angel Frees the Souls of Purgatory circa 1610.
The painting of Jesus with the halo and crown of thorns is a photo from our reproduction that we purchased of the original artwork of Carlo Dolci.
