STATION 2
Jesus Takes Up His Cross
We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You (or: We adore You, O Christ, and we bless You.)
BECAUSE BY YOUR HOLY CROSS, YOU HAVE REDEEMED THE WORLD.
Prayer
O holy cross, You are the tree of life, the gate of heaven, our salvation, and our only hope. Be my salvation at the hour of death.
Prayer
O Jesus, be mindful of Your servants who have departed from this life with this sign of faith. Free them by the victorious power of Your Cross, with which You have conquered death and lead them into eternal life and happiness.
MY JESUS, MERCY!
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.*
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Eternal Rest grant unto them, O Lord.

Merciful Jesus, grant them eternal rest.
