We made the Risen Christ Cross with a thick board of walnut wood. The shape of the cut reveals the grain of the wood and complements the image of Jesus. A Cross on a wall is a gentle reminder to pray. Yet, it is even more than that. We remember to reflect on the words of prayers instead of just saying them. Even those most familiar can then become part of a real conversation.
Since we do not alter the natural tones and grains of the wood, each one has unique differences.

Filling Our Hearts
A Real Conversation
A Crucifix reminds us that God fills the emptiness in our hearts. When we pray, we turn to the One who fills our souls. As we fix our hearts on an image of Jesus on the Cross, we can reflect on the words of our prayers instead of just saying the words. Even the most familiar prayers can then become part of a real conversation.
A Meeting of the Hearts
Then, prayer can be a meeting of the heart with God, Who is the answer to our deepest longings.
