The Crown of 12 Stars of Our Lady of Mercy is an ancient devotion of The Order of Our Lady of Mercy. It is a traditional Catholic chaplet rooted in the Book of Revelation. The 12 stars represent her role as queen of heaven and earth, the 12 Apostles, and the 12 Tribes of Israel. There are twelve Hail Mary prayers, one for each star in her crown. The three groups of beads are for her virtues of excellence, power, and goodness. Each group begins with an Our Father, continues with four Hail Mary prayers, and ends with a Glory Be. We chose topaz and clear Czech glass beads as glorious, heavenly colours.
And a great portent appeared in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. (Revelation 12:1)
