Corpora

Jesus Corpora are usually either silver-plated or bronze-plated.  They have good quality, thick plating.

Wood

We use locally-sourced wood. Our favourites are Walnut, Oak, and Maple. However, we sometimes have other types of wood available. These include Cherry, Manitoba Maple, Curly Maple, and a few rare genres.

We re-claim it when we can.  For example, when someone gave us an oak stairway, we were able to turn it into Crucifixes.

What Makes Them Unique

Since wood has different grain patterns and shades, each piece is unique. As a result, two Crucifixes made from the same tree can look different from one another.

Natural Tones

We preserve the natural tones of the wood to let its uniqueness show through. Every board is unique in some way.  Each type of wood ages differently.  We listed typical traits of each type of wood to give you an idea of what it might look like.

CREDITS

The LOGO image of Our Lady of Grace is original artwork by Martin Lariviere in 2009. We have the artist’s permission (my son). It is our exclusive trademark logo image.

A beautifully photographed sky by Donald Tong inspired the website’s colour scheme. Cropped portions of it are the background for the footer Bible verse. He shared it as a free download on pexels.com.

Raphael painted The Sistine Madonna circa (1513-1514). We made circular cut-outs from the original image.
