More Details

The Handmade Cherry Crucifix has aged wood. The rich tones of the Cherry wood darken as the wood ages. New Cherry wood is a lighter colour.

Since we do not alter the natural tones and grains of the wood, each one has unique differences.

The Crucifixes are beautiful and just the right size, too. The lighter cherry will go over our front door which is an almost perfect match in colour to the door, and the other one in our bedroom where our night tables and chest are dark stained oak. We are glad we decided to purchase both of them now we’ve seen and held them in person.  We’ll bring them to Mass with us on Saturday evening to be blessed… The Crucifixes are laying on the dining room table because I keep going back to look at them and hold them. More than a Decorative Object

A Catholic Tradition

It might seem like Crucifixes are a recent idea. Yet they have been in Catholic homes for over 1500 years. They usually hung on a prominent wall or over a doorway.

Reminder of God's Love

A Crucifix is so much more than a decorative object.  It reminds us that God loves us.  He sent His Son to die for our sins so that we could have eternal life. Jesus went through it all for love. We see His love nailed on the Cross. Once we invite Him into our hearts, our lives are never the same.

CREDITS

The LOGO image of Our Lady of Grace is original artwork by Martin Lariviere in 2009. We have the artist’s permission (my son). It is our exclusive trademark logo image.

A beautifully photographed sky by Donald Tong inspired the website’s colour scheme. Cropped portions of it are the background for the footer Bible verse. He shared it as a free download on pexels.com.

Raphael painted The Sistine Madonna circa (1513-1514). We made circular cut-outs from the original image.
