The beads for our Holy Family Pearl Rosary are genuine Mother-of-Pearl, crafted from the iridescent lining of the oyster shell. When light interacts with the layers of nacre, it reveals a stunning, silky texture. To ensure durability, the beads are treated with a specialized solution to protect the delicate layers from chipping.
To secure these beautiful beads, each is carefully wire-wrapped. This technique adds extra space between the beads, making them easier to grasp during prayer. Additionally, the Pater (Our Father) beads are larger than the Hail Mary beads, making them easier to distinguish by feel.
Pro-tip:
Because they are wire-wrapped, these rosaries will not come unhooked. While this sturdy design can occasionally result in a temporary kink, it is easily resolved by gently shaking or lifting and turning the section by hand.
