Wire-wrapping adds space between the beads. However, keep in mind that bead size matters: heirloom rosaries with smaller beads are not as long as those with larger beads. Ornate Our Father beads with caps and end beads also add extra length. Overall, an heirloom rosary will naturally be longer and feel more substantial than a standard linked or corded rosary. It is better kept in a pouch rather than stuffed into a tight pocket.
