We make our Nickel Silver Rosaries with a metal alloy composed of nickel, copper, and zinc. They are sturdy and resist tarnishing.
About Nickel Silver Components
Metal Content
Nickel Silver is a metal alloy composed of nickel, copper, and zinc. Although it is a silver colour, it does not contain silver. Parts made with this metal usually have clear detailing. They are rugged and resist tarnishing.
Metal Casting
Metal casting is an ancient process that began as early as 3200 B.C. They poured molten metal into a mold. Once hardened, artisans removed the mold. Then they cleaned the object of any excess material and smoothed out any rough edges.
Today, it is the same basic procedure.
Made in Italy
Most of the parts we use are die-cast in Italy. Of all the countries in the world, Italy has the longest history of rosary design. Authentic parts have the word Italy in raised letters on the back.
Some pieces are too small for this label. For example, our tiny bracelet Crucifixes are made in Italy, even though they do not have a label.
