More Details

The Paracord Divine Mercy Chaplet has Euro Wood beads that slide along the cord during prayer.  The single beads have stainless steel accents.  The statue medal has rays like in St. Faustina’s vision (February 22, 1931). It is heavy and measures 2.25 inches or 6 centimeters.

This well-loved prayer originated with Saint Faustina in 1931. On June 13, 2002, St. (Pope) John Paul II granted it indulgences. Meditating on the suffering of Our Lord, we can pray daily during the 3:00 to 4:00 hour. Once a year, we can pray for nine days in preparation for the Feast of Divine Mercy Sunday, beginning on Good Friday.

TIP

If the beads are too close, a pinch on the cord will move them back. That way, you can move them with your fingers as you pray.

Handmade Catholic items by Our Lady of Grace Rosaries are designed to be cherished and built to endure.

About Our Handmade Chaplets

Packaging

Each chaplet comes with a sturdy prayer card.  It explains which prayers to say on which beads.

Suggestion

It is a good idea to store your chaplets and prayer cards together.  Since chaplets have unique bead groupings and prayers, the prayer card and chaplet need to stay together so that you can continue to use them.

A beautifully photographed sky by Donald Tong inspired the website’s colour scheme. Cropped portions of it are the background for the footer Bible verse. He shared it as a free download on pexels.com.

Chaplet source: Quintiliani, Patricia S., My Treasury of Chaplets (Seventh, enlarged edition), Massachusetts: The Ravengate Press, 1999.  The Divine Mercy Chaplet began with Sister Faustina Kowalska’s apparitions of Jesus. She mentions the prayers in her Diary (474-475).  The design that goes with the prayers is the same as a rosary, only without the first bead.
