The St. Cecilia Chaplet has wire-wrapped Czech glass beads. It has prayers to ask for the intercession of the patron saint of music. We pray to imitate her virtues of purity and holiness. We also pray to love Jesus with all our hearts and to resign ourselves entirely to God’s will. It can be for a novena on the nine days leading up to her feast day (November 22) or any time.
History of the 9-Bead Chaplet Design
According to The Raccolta (A Manual of Indulgences), the 9-bead chaplet is from at least the late 18th Century. They have 3 groups of 3 beads with a saint medal or Crucifix in a closed loop or stretched out in a strand. At first, convents and monasteries made rosaries and these chaplets. Over the centuries, they have become more readily available.
The Prayers
On the medal or Crucifix, we ask for the intercession of a particular saint. Then, we pray one Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be on each group of beads. There is a partial indulgence when we say the sets of prayers this way.

Suggestion
It is a good idea to store your chaplets and prayer cards together. Since chaplets have unique bead groupings and prayers, the prayer card and chaplet need to stay together so that you can continue to use them.
