About St. John Paul II

St. John Paul II (May 18, 1920 to April 2, 2005) was born in Wadowice, Poland. Pope Benedict XVI beatified him on May 1, 2011. Pope Francis canonized him on July 5, 2013. The first miracle was the healing of Sister Marie Pierre from Parkinson’s disease. The second miracle through his intercession was another healing. Floribeth Mora Diaz had a scientifically inexplicable healing of a brain aneurysm.
Apostolic Letter on the Rosary
St. John Paul II wrote 14 encyclicals, 16 books, and more. On October 16, 2002, he wrote an apostolic letter about a prayer that was close to his heart. In the Rosarium Virginis Mariae (The Rosary of the Virgin Mary), he explored the simplicity and depth of this timeless prayer. In it, he described how we can enter more deeply into the prayer and the mysteries of the Rosary.
