Job’s Tears are an ancient genome from about 3000 B.C. We grow them in our garden without the use of any products. Then, we choose the seeds with durable, healthy shells to make our rosaries and chaplets. Click on the photo to read more about them.
What Makes Them Shiny?
The hard outer shell gets shinier from the oils of the hands of the person praying with them. For most people, they stay light grey to beige. Yet, the beads turned to a rich chestnut brown on a friend’s rosary.
St. Teresa of Calcutta
Mother Teresa loved praying with rosaries made with these beads. She liked the humility of Job’s Tears seeds, which grow wild in the ditches of India. Special Orders
The photo shows an unsorted handful of seeds from our garden. They grow naturally in a variety of beige to grey tones. If you love these beads but have another theme in mind, we can put them with a different center medal and Crucifix.
