More Details

St. Teresa of Calcutta prayed the Memorare nine times in succession with her religious sisters in times of urgency. She called it The Flying Novena or The Express Novena.  Our Memorare Novena Chaplet has nine beads to keep track of the prayers. We chose Job’s Tears since they were her favourite. She loved them for their humility since they grew wild in the ditches of India.  The Crucifix is also significant.   To Mother Teresa, the Unity Cross explained the purpose of her order. Their role is to stand close to the dying Christ, like Mary, and to meet Him in the poorest of the poor.

About the Chaplet Design

The design for this chaplet was an original Our Lady of Grace Rosaries idea in 2001.  My cousin taught me the prayer and mentioned that it was difficult to count so I offered to design a chaplet to go with it.  In recent years, there have been various versions of this chaplet widely available but known by different names (Flying Novena Chaplet, Express Novena Chaplet, and Emergency Novena Chaplet).

*Since the beads are natural, the chaplet has subtle differences each time we make it.

Handmade Catholic items by Our Lady of Grace Rosaries are designed to be cherished and built to endure.

About Our Handmade Chaplets

Packaging

Each chaplet comes with a sturdy prayer card.  It explains which prayers to say on which beads.

Suggestion

It is a good idea to store your chaplets and prayer cards together.  Since chaplets have unique bead groupings and prayers, the prayer card and chaplet need to stay together so that you can continue to use them.
