More Details
Our Rosary that glows in the dark might seem ordinary in the light, but it glows in a darkened room. Imagine finally being able to find your rosary in the dark!
Despite its ability to glow, the rosary is both non-toxic and non-radioactive. The chemical process that absorbs and stores light is phosphorescence. In a darkened room, it releases the light, giving it a dramatic glow. When it starts to fade, it needs to absorb more light. Once exposed to the light again, it will begin glowing once more.
How much it glows depends on the lights. We put it under extra good light and then turned it off for the first photo. The second photo is in natural daylight.
5 Tips to Get the Most Out of Praying the Rosary
1
Be Prepared
First, choose a time and place that works best for you. Then ask the Holy Spirit to help you pray well.
2
Commit to Pray
Plan your day around it. Stick with it. Praying consistently helps us develop a routine of prayer.
3
Manage Distractions
Our minds can wander during prayer. When that happens, we can refocus our attention. If this is difficult, we can pray for grace to help us stay focused.
4
The Mysteries
Make an effort to focus on each one as you pray. For example, the third Luminous Mystery is The Proclamation of the Kingdom. You can imagine yourself sitting nearby, listening to Jesus speaking. Hear the birds, feel the warmth of the sun, and notice things around you. As we spend time with Jesus this way, it can help us grow closer to Him.
5
Don't Rush
When there is enough time to think about the mysteries as we pray, it can be a more peaceful experience. Time for reflection in prayer is what makes it more meaningful.
Bonus Tip
The rosary is a biblical prayer that helps us grow closer to God. We ask His mother, the one who loves Him the most, to pray with us and for us.
