More Details

The Children of Fatima Chaplet has olive wood beads and traditional Fatima prayers.  It is one of our rare chaplets. (©️ Paul Buis OCD (2005) used here with permission)  Since Sister Lucia was a Carmelite, the center medal is one of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.   The end medal is an image of Our Lady of Fatima with the children.

Our Lady of Fatima and the Shepherd Children

From May 13 to October 13, 1917, Our Lady of Fatima appeared to three shepherd children in Portugal. She asked them to pray the rosary daily, along with an extra prayer. She taught them The Fatima Prayer and asked them to say it at the end of each decade.  We continue this practice today.

The Day the Sun Danced

On October 13, 1917, hundreds of witnesses saw the sun dance, moving toward earth, and returning to its original location. This event became known as The Miracle of the Sun.  At least four million pilgrims travel to the shrine every year.

©️ Paul Buis OCDS  (2005)  He collected traditional Catholic prayers and planned a bead layout for them.  The chaplet design and selection of prayers are for personal use.

Handmade Catholic items by Our Lady of Grace Rosaries are designed to be cherished and built to endure.

About Our Handmade Chaplets

Packaging

Each chaplet comes with a sturdy prayer card.  It explains which prayers to say on which beads.

Suggestion

It is a good idea to store your chaplets and prayer cards together.  Since chaplets have unique bead groupings and prayers, the prayer card and chaplet need to stay together so that you can continue to use them.
