The Closing Prayers of the Rosary
Intercessory Prayers
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
Have mercy on us
Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Pray for us
St. Joseph (add as needed),
Pray for us
All Angels and Saints in heaven.
Pray for us
Hail, Holy Queen
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.
To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then, O most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Add When Praying in a Group
Verse: Pray for us, O holy Mother of God,
Response: That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
The Rosary Prayer
O God, whose only-begotten Son,
by His life, death, and Resurrection,
has purchased for us the rewards of eternal salvation;
grant, we beseech thee,
that while meditating upon these mysteries
of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
we may imitate what they contain
and obtain what they promise,
through the same Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Divine Assistance Prayer
Verse: May the Divine Assistance remain always with us,
Response: And may the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen
End With a Sign of the Cross
End the prayer of the rosary in the same way you started, with a Sign of the Cross. Beginning by holding the Crucifix in your hand. Kiss it* and make the Sign of the Cross.
*Kissing the Crucifix is optional. It is a special way that many people choose to make the Sign of the Cross after praying a rosary. You can whisper a prayer of thanks as you put your rosary away.
