Our Cobalt Blue Glass Rosary has a swirl of wire around every bead. The light reveals rich shades of blue hidden in the depths of the beads. The size of the 10mm Our Father beads makes them easy to notice during prayer.
About Cage-Wrapping
What is Cage-Wrapping?
Cage-wrapping adds stacks of rings and a gentle swirl of wire across the beads.
There are many forms of cage-wrapping, but we prefer the one shown in the photo. We use a single snug wrap to secure the beads. Also, we flush-cut the ends of the wire to keep them smooth.
Extra Detail
We will sometimes cage-wrap the Our Father beads. It sets them apart and adds a unique flair to the rosary. The wire swirls around the caps and accent beads, holding them in place.
Which Beads We Use
We do not save this wiring method only for gemstone beads. We also use it with glass and hematite beads. Yet, since it takes more wire and time to make, there is an added cost.
