Our Lady of Fatima
In 1917, Our Lady of Fatima appeared to three shepherd children in Portugal. She asked them to pray the rosary daily along with an extra prayer. She taught them The Fatima Prayer and asked them to say it at the end of each decade.
On October 13, 1917, hundreds of witnesses saw the sun dance, moving toward earth, and returning to its original location. This event became known as The Miracle of the Sun.
1917 to 2017
In 2017, 9.4 million pilgrims went to Fatima for the 100th anniversary. On May 13th of that year, Pope Francis canonized Jacinta and Francisco Marto. He gave Sister Lucia the title Servant of God.
