The Glass Bead Holy Face Rosary has reliable handmade quality. At one time, 7mm beads were the standard size for rosaries. Now, only limited bead options are available in that size.
The Crucifix and center medal have clear Italian-made detailing. The Holy Face of Jesus is from the Shroud of Turin. It has the words Illumina Domine Vultum Tuum Super Nos, or May the light of Your Face, O Lord, shine upon us. On the back is an image of The Blessed Sacrament with the letters IHS at the center. IHS is an acronym from the Middle Ages (Latin) meaning Jesus, Saviour of Mankind. Surrounding the image are the words: Mane Nobiscum Domine, or Stay With Us, O Lord. Pope Pius XII approved the Holy Face devotion and the medal in 1958.
