John 20:21 (Silence of the Heart)
John 20:21
What can we learn from John 20:21 about finding focus in prayer?
Silence of the Heart
Jesus said to them again,
Peace be with you.
John 20:21
When we try to pray with a lot of inner noise, it can be challenging to focus. Our concerns, hopes, and thoughts can distract us. Prayer is more meaningful when we begin with an inner silence of the heart. It opens us up to a deeper level of contemplation. We can do two things to reach this interior quiet. First, we can find the best time and place to pray. Then, we can pray for the grace of inner peace. (April 18, 2021)

Felix Mittermeier of www.pexels.com photographed a wheat field at sunset. It is a peaceful image for our reflection on inner peace.
