More Details

Our Mahogany Saint Benedict Crucifix has an angled cut that draws the eye to Our Lord on the Cross.

It is a handmade original. As a result of the grain patterns and natural shades in the wood, each Crucifix is unique. In the same way, each journey of the heart towards God is as individual as we are.

Since we do not alter the natural tones and grains of the wood, each one has unique differences.

Handmade Catholic items by Our Lady of Grace Rosaries are designed to be cherished and built to endure.

Crucifix Prayer

The Prayer to Jesus Crucified

The Prayer to Jesus Crucified is another name for The Prayer before a Crucifix.  It is in most Catholic prayer books.  A unique feature is that it includes an excerpt from Psalm 22.

Plenary Indulgence

The Prayer to Jesus Crucified (or Prayer Before a Crucifix) has a plenary indulgence when prayed on Fridays during Lent (Pope Pius XI, 1934).  At other times, it has a partial indulgence.

CREDITS

The LOGO image of Our Lady of Grace is original artwork by Martin Lariviere in 2009. We have the artist’s permission (my son). It is our exclusive trademark logo image.

A beautifully photographed sky by Donald Tong inspired the website’s colour scheme. Cropped portions of it are the background for the footer Bible verse. He shared it as a free download on pexels.com.

Raphael painted The Sistine Madonna circa (1513-1514). We made circular cut-outs from the original image.

La Crucifixion (detail), our featured image, was painted circa 1644 to 1646 by Philippe de Champaigne.
