About the Metal and Cord We Use
Base Metal Wire
Nickel Silver is an affordable metal alloy composed of nickel, copper, and zinc. Although it is a silver colour, it does not contain silver.
Brass is a metal alloy composed of copper and zinc. Although it is a gold colour, it does not contain gold.
Precious Metal Wire
Sterling Silver is a metal alloy made with 92.5% silver (.925 sterling silver) and 7.5% copper. It is nickel-free.
Bronze is a metal alloy primarily made of copper. It also contains tin and other metals. With age and exposure to air, it naturally darkens to rich, earthy tones.
Cord and Paracord
Our Cord (fishing net twine) and Paracord are nylon-based. Nylon has the highest strength and shock absorbency of any synthetic rope. It is weather-resistant, resists fraying, feels smooth, and holds its knots well.
Why Invest in a Handmade Rosary?
The Artisan Difference
Artisans put their time and heart into designing and making rosaries. They loop the wire to attach the beads one at a time and pay attention to the details that will make their rosaries last.
How to Choose a Rosary You Will Love
Quality
A rosary should be well-made for handling during prayers. Handmade rosaries are usually the sturdiest available.
Beads
Check the surface for cracks, chips, or bubbles. Make sure the shapes are consistent.
Connectors
The loops that hold the center medal and Crucifix should be sturdy.
Wire
Examine the wire. It should be thick with no nicks and with no open gaps on the sides of the beads.
What Else to Look For
It is also important to consider:
- design
- comfort
- function
- cost

The LOGO image of Our Lady of Grace is original artwork by Martin Lariviere in 2009. We have the artist’s permission (my son). It is our exclusive trademark logo image.
A beautifully photographed sky by Donald Tong inspired the website’s colour scheme. Cropped portions of it are the background for the footer Bible verse. He shared it as a free download on pexels.com.
Raphael painted The Sistine Madonna circa (1513-1514). We made circular cut-outs from the original image.
