What makes The Miraculous Medal & Roses Rosary unique is its metal roses. They have an image of Our Lady of Grace on the back.
In 1830, St. Catherine Laboure had visions of Mary. Our Lady asked her to fashion a medal after her image, saying she would give protection and grace to those who wore it. St. Catherine told her confessor what had happened, and in 1832, he had 1,500 copies made of it. At first, it was The Medal of the Immaculate Conception. Not long after, the cholera pandemic began ravaging Paris. Many who wore the medal were spared. It soon became known as The Miraculous Medal because of the many miracles and conversions of those who wore it. Today, the Miraculous Medal has become the most well-known medal in the world. It represents the powerful intercession of Our Lady of Grace. She continues to intercede on our behalf.
