About Paracord Options
About Paracord
PARACORD has its name from its origins. It was a suspension cord for World War II parachutes before it was a craft cord. About a decade ago, a rosary designer in Texas came up with the idea to make Paracord rosaries. Now they are available worldwide.
Paracord has a braided sheath or tube that holds 3-ply twisted nylon cords together. As a result, it feels padded.

Micro Paracord
Micro Paracord is our smallest cord. It will fit through gemstone and glass bead holes but is too small for wood beads. It is American-made with a 50-pound strength which is more than enough for the function of a rosary. We use it for rosaries, rosary bracelets, and rosary necklaces. The rosary necklace in the photo has knots between the beads to achieve the needed length.
95 Paracord
American-made 95 Paracord is our most popular size. We use it for rosaries, chaplets, and rosary bracelets. Since is almost 2mm thick, we sometimes add stainless steel split rings to connect it to rosary components (as shown in the photo).
550 Paracord
This military-grade Paracord is 4mm thick. It makes a hefty rosary that fits well in a coat pocket or a prayer table. We add a comfortable space for the grouped Hail Mary beads to slide as you pray.
We use 2 types of 550 Paracord. The American-made version has a nylon base. Asian Paracord has a polyester base and is more affordable. What is the difference? They both have 7 twisted cord strands at the core. They are both strong enough for rosary prayers and look almost identical. The main difference we noticed is the smell during heat-sealing.

IN REVIEW
We make a variety of rosaries, chaplets, rosary bracelets, and rosary necklaces with Paracord.
Micro Paracord has a 50-pound strength and can support the function of a rosary.
American-made Paracord has a nylon base. Paracord has different thicknesses and strengths. 95 Paracord is almost 2mm thick, while 550 Paracord is 4mm thick. The thicker the Paracord, the larger (and stronger) the rosary.
