The Red St. Michael Chaplet is also known as The Angelic Crown. We ask him and the choirs of angels to protect us in times of struggle and intercede on our behalf. There are different colours for each group of beads for the various choirs of angels. Mother Angelica recommended this layout in the Chaplet of St. Michael booklet. We can pray the chaplet as a novena on the nine days leading up to his feast day (September 29) or any time.
History of the Chaplet
The chaplet originated with a Carmelite nun, Antonia d’Astonac (Servant of God). In the 18th Century, she received a vision of St. Michael the Archangel. He promised his protection and care from each of the choirs of angels. On August 8, 1851, Pope Pius IX granted it an indulgence.

Suggestion
It is a good idea to store your chaplets and prayer cards together. Since chaplets have unique bead groupings and prayers, the prayer card and chaplet need to stay together so that you can continue to use them.
