Rosary Categories: Shopping Made Easier

Wire-Wrapped Rosaries

Wire wrapping looks like they have stacked rings on either side of the beads. They are generally sturdier, and the links will not come unhooked. These rosaries are easier to handle because the extra wraps add space between the beads.  Click on the photo to see more.

Cage-Wrapped Rosaries

While cage-wrapping also has stacks of rings on each side of the beads, it is different from the usual way we wrap the wire. We add extra detail to the rosary with one more step. With a gentle swirl of wire, we accent the beads.  Click for more.

Sacrament & Anniversary Gifts

We make several rosaries specific to the sacraments.  Click on the photo to see some of the ones we make.

Glass Dome Centers

We match our glass dome centers to the beads as closely as possible.  The result is a unique rosary.  Click for more.

One Decade

These Rosaries have 11 beads.  They are either a pocket design or one that attaches to the rearview mirror of your vehicle.  Click for more.

The LOGO image of Our Lady of Grace is original artwork by Martin Lariviere in 2009. We have the artist’s permission (my son). It is our exclusive trademark logo image.

A beautifully photographed sky by Donald Tong inspired the website’s colour scheme. Cropped portions of it are the background for the footer Bible verse. He shared it as a free download on pexels.com.

Raphael painted The Sistine Madonna circa (1513-1514). We made circular cut-outs from the original image.

IN REVIEW
Why are they called Job's Tears?

These old-world seeds are called Job’s Tears for two reasons. First, they have their name in memory of the many tears shed by Job in Old Testament times. Secondly, they grow in a natural teardrop shape.

What is the scientific name for Job's Tears?

The scientific term for Job’s Tears is coix lacryma-jobi.

What do Job's Tears Plants Look Like?

The plants look like a cross between corn and grass.  It makes it difficult to weed them in the spring because they look so much like grass when they are young.  They can grow to about six feet tall.

Why did Saint Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa) love Job's Tears rosaries?

Mother Teresa loved to pray with rosaries made with Job’s Tears seeds.  She liked that they are humble and grow wild in the ditches of India.

Shopping tips for Job's Tears Rosaries?

Job’s Tears seeds are natural and will not match perfectly.  The shades will vary from beige to grey, but the sizes should match up fairly well.

Damaged seeds are usually white or pale grey with a wrinkled texture.  You will want durable, healthy shells on your rosary seeds.  Check the seeds carefully for cracks, chips or noticeable black spots.

Why do Job's Tears seeds on a rosary get shiny when you pray with them?

A unique feature of Job’s Tears seeds is that the oils of the hands of the person praying with them will make them shinier.  For most people, rosaries will turn a shiny grey with time.  For some people, they will turn a rich, chestnut brown.
