A rosary with Austrian Crystals will shimmer with very little light. We did not compromise on the quality of this rosary. The Crucifix, center medal, wire, chain, and connector beads are all sterling silver. This rosary will not come unhooked because we wire-wrapped it. The chain is also sturdy.
Are "Austrian Crystals" the Same as Swarovski Crystals?
We now refer to Swarovski Crystals as Austrian Crystals. It’s the result of a new copyright issue. The rosary beads haven’t changed. They are still the same genuine Swarovski Crystal beads as before.
TIP: Wire-wrapped rosaries will not come unhooked. The design will sometimes result in a temporary kink. There are two ways to resolve it: a gentle shake; or lifting and turning the section by hand.

WIRE QUALITY & LENGTH affects the overall cost of a rosary. Wire-wrapping takes more than twice the wire but it will never come unhooked. Sterling silver is more valuable than bronze, nickel silver, or brass.
CRUCIFIX & CENTER weight and metal content also affect the rosary’s value.

What Makes Them Sparkle?
Swarovski Crystals glisten and catch the eye in the stores as we walk past them. Although their lighting helps, it takes very little light can make these beads throw off flashes of light.
The End of an Era
In 2021, they announced a major plan to restructure their company. Selling their beads to crafters has become a thing of the past. Their beads are no longer readily available to artisans.
Will There Be More of These Rosaries?
You can still look forward to more of our rosaries made with these beads. They will be available for as long as our supplies last. However, we will now sell them as Austrian Crystal rosaries.
