More Details
The Natural Finish St. Benedict Comfort Cross will fit easily in your hand while praying or when it feels too difficult to pray. It reminds us that our Lord accompanies us on each step of the journey of the heart. A unique feature is the added St. Benedict medal.
We do not apply a stain to our Crucifixes. Each one has a natural colour. We preserve the natural tones of the wood to let its uniqueness show through. However, we usually apply a clear, protective layer of varnish. That is not the case with this Cross. It does not have a finish. That way, the natural oils from the hands of all who hold it for comfort and prayer protect the wood.
Since we do not alter the natural tones and grains of the wood, each one has unique differences.

Crucifix Prayer
The Prayer to Jesus Crucified
The Prayer to Jesus Crucified is another name for The Prayer before a Crucifix. It is in most Catholic prayer books. A unique feature is that it includes an excerpt from Psalm 22.

Plenary Indulgence
The Prayer to Jesus Crucified (or Prayer Before a Crucifix) has a plenary indulgence when prayed on Fridays during Lent (Pope Pius XI, 1934). At other times, it has a partial indulgence.

CREDITS
The LOGO image of Our Lady of Grace is original artwork by Martin Lariviere in 2009. We have the artist’s permission (my son). It is our exclusive trademark logo image.
A beautifully photographed sky by Donald Tong inspired the website’s colour scheme. Cropped portions of it are the background for the footer Bible verse. He shared it as a free download on pexels.com.
Raphael painted The Sistine Madonna circa (1513-1514). We made circular cut-outs from the original image.
La Crucifixion (detail), our featured image, was painted circa 1644 to 1646 by Philippe de Champaigne.
