More Details
The Totus Tuus Chaplet centers on the devotion to Mary Immaculate. It opens with a prayer written by St. John Paul II. As we pray the chaplet, we renew our devotion to her and turn to her for her intercession. The medal has unique, scrolled edges.
Saint (Pope) John Paul II chose the personal motto Totus Tuus (all yours or totally yours in Latin when he became bishop in 1958. He entrusted his life and ministry to the Blessed Virgin Mary. A mosaic with his motto is on a wall in St. Peter’s Square in Rome. It has become the most famous Marian icon of the 20th Century. After his assassination attempt, as Pope, he felt that Mary had protected him by deviating the killing bullet. He wanted an image of her in St. Peter’s Square as a reminder that the Mother of the Church protects us in difficult times. The mosaic was created and affixed on December 7, 1981. The next day, on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, he blessed it.
About Our Handmade Chaplets
Packaging
Each chaplet comes with a sturdy prayer card. It has the full text of the prayers and explains which prayers to say on which beads.
Suggestion
It is a good idea to store your chaplets and prayer cards together. Since chaplets have unique bead groupings and prayers, the prayer card and chaplet need to stay together so that you can continue to use them.
