What Makes Our Crucifixes Unique?
Since we do not alter the natural uniqueness of the wood with stains, our Crucifixes are all one-of-a-kind.
What Makes Our Crucifixes Unique?
Each one is a handmade original. We preserve the natural tones of the wood to let its uniqueness show through.
Natural Tones
We do not use stains on our Crucifixes to alter their natural shade. We add a clear, protective finish that reveals the natural tones and grains of the wood. The colour you see is its genuine, untouched beauty. As a result, no two Crucifixes look perfectly alike.
The Nature of Wood
The look of wood varies from one tree to another. It even looks different even within the same tree. The outermost layers have the lightest shade. The tones get rich deeper inside the tree. As a result, even if they have wood from the same tree, our Crucifixes look unique in one detail or another. The Walnut Crucifixes pictured have colour and grain variations.
Grain Patterns
Woodgrain is a darker pattern of lines that can be straight or curved, close together or far apart. They can be bold or soft, even with the same type of wood. For example, Oak can have subtle or bold grain markings. Grain patterns are the result of tree growth. The angle of the cut will also affect the way they look.
An Unusual Grain Pattern
Curly Maple has an unusual grain pattern. It is so beautiful that it is the preferred choice for those who make musical instruments. It has noticeable curls and satiny patterns that seem to go deep into the wood.
Our Designs
Our designs add an artisan feel to the finished Crucifix. Although we make classic cuts, we also design many creative, unique Crucifixes.
When You Order a Crucifix or Cross
Since we do not alter the natural uniqueness of the wood, our Crucifixes are all one-of-a-kind. They will not look identical to our website photos. We will show you a photo of the finished Crucifixes before finalizing your purchase.
Crosses
Our Crucifixes are available to order as basic Crosses (without the Corpus of Jesus). We also have some featured on our website.

The LOGO image of Our Lady of Grace is original artwork by Martin Lariviere in 2009. We have the artist’s permission (my son). It is our exclusive trademark logo image.
A beautifully photographed sky by Donald Tong inspired the website’s colour scheme. Cropped portions of it are the background for the footer Bible verse. He shared it as a free download on pexels.com.
Raphael painted The Sistine Madonna circa (1513-1514). We made circular cut-outs from the original image.
