More Details
The 9-Bead Chaplet is for any devotion. We made it with wire-wrapped beads and a medal with the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts. You can request a different medal (if available) or a Crucifix. You can also order it with different beads.
This type of prayer carries a partial indulgence. It has been part of the Catholic Church for at least 300 years. On the medal or Crucifix, we ask for the intercession of a particular saint. Then, on each set of three beads, we pray an Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be. We can pray on these beads any time to ask the saints for their help. We can also pray a novena on them. (A novena is nine days of prayer for a specific intention leading up to a saint’s feast day or when needed.)
About Intercessory Prayers
Praying for a saint’s intercession goes back to the earliest days of the Church. When we ask for the help of a saint, we join our prayers with someone holy who lives in God’s heavenly presence. We never pray alone when a saint is praying with us. They kneel beside us in prayer. We can pray with our favourite saint or choose one who is the patron of a concern we want to pray about. For example, St. Joseph is the patron saint of families.
History of the 9-Bead Chaplet Design
The 9-bead chaplet began in the late 18th Century or earlier (The Raccolta: A Manual of Indulgences). At first, only convents and monasteries made them. There are three groups of three beads with a saint medal or Crucifix in a closed loop or stretched out in a strand.

About Our Handmade Chaplets
Packaging
Each chaplet comes with a sturdy prayer card. It has the full text of the prayers and explains which prayers to say on which beads.
Suggestion
It is a good idea to store your chaplets and prayer cards together. Since chaplets have unique bead groupings and prayers, the prayer card and chaplet need to stay together so that you can continue to use them.
