We made the sturdy Saint Joseph Hematite Pocket Rosary for comfort. The wire wrapping keeps the beads securely in place with extra space between them. With this extra room, it is easy to hold onto the beads during prayer. We used heavy-duty wire and chain for added sturdiness. We also connected it with bows so that it will not come unhooked. It will fit easily in a pocket for extra prayers while on the go.
What is Hematite?
Today’s hematite rosaries use a machine-made version of the stone. It looks and feels similar. It is also iron-grey, metallic-based, and heavy.
Tip
TIP: Wire-wrapped rosaries will not come unhooked. The design will sometimes result in a temporary kink. There are two ways to resolve it: a gentle shake; or lifting and turning the section by hand.
