Which Items are Nickel-Free?
Nickel Content
The following metals can cause reactions for those sensitive to nickel: Gold-Tone, Bronze, Stainless Steel, and Nickel Silver. We have nickel-free options.
Wood and Cord Bracelets
A wood and cord rosary bracelet is a good option. It does not contain metal. The Crucifix and Medal on some of our other bracelets can be replaced with Sterling Silver ones.
Cord and Wood or Plastic Bead Rosaries
We make Olive Wood, Euro Wood, or plastic bead rosaries. They are nickel-free if the other parts are made of wood or plastic. There are two cord options: Fishing Net Twine and Paracord.
Rope Rosaries
Our Rope Rosaries are available in a variety of colours. They are metal-free and we make them in two sizes. Rosaries knotted with #36 twine are larger than those knotted with #9 twine.
Sterling Silver
Sterling Silver is nickel-free. Our .925 sterling silver rosaries contain 7.5% copper. Both metals are nickel-free. The components of our sterling silver rosaries are not plated.
Accessories
Our wood rosary dishes, leather rosary cases, and pouches are nickel-free.
Other Ideas
Some have had success with painting clear nail polish over nickel components. However, this might not work for everyone. We are happy to try to make something safe for you from available stock.
