More Details

The Saint Michael Chaplet is also known as The Angelic Crown. We ask him and the choirs of angels to protect us in times of struggle and intercede on our behalf. There are different colours for each group of beads for the various choirs of angels. Mother Angelica recommended this layout in the Chaplet of St. Michael booklet.  We can pray the chaplet as a novena on the nine days leading up to his feast day (September 29) or any time.

History of the Chaplet

The chaplet originated with a Carmelite nun, Antonia d’Astonac (Servant of God). In the 18th Century, she received a vision of St. Michael the Archangel. He promised his protection and care from each of the choirs of angels. On August 8, 1851, Pope Pius IX granted it an indulgence.

The St. Michael Prayer

The chaplet is not the same as the St. Michael prayer, which many pray after the rosary. Pope Leo XIII wrote it, and Pope Pius XIII granted it an indulgence on May 18, 1890. We included it on the chaplet cards. It is also on our website.

Handmade Catholic items by Our Lady of Grace Rosaries are designed to be cherished and built to endure.

About Our Handmade Chaplets

Packaging

Each chaplet comes with a sturdy prayer card.  It explains which prayers to say on which beads.

Suggestion

It is a good idea to store your chaplets and prayer cards together.  Since chaplets have unique bead groupings and prayers, the prayer card and chaplet need to stay together so that you can continue to use them.
